Privacy Policy — Ohio Sports Betting Report

This privacy policy explains what data Ohio Sports Betting Report collects when you visit our site, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to all pages and subdomains we operate. Last updated 2026-05-19.

Data We Collect

Site analytics: We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool (no cross-site tracking, no third-party cookies) to count page views, identify top-referring sites, and understand which articles readers spend the most time on. The analytics tool stores aggregated, anonymized data only — we cannot tie a pageview to a specific person.

Affiliate cookies: When you click a link to one of the sportsbooks reviewed on our site, the destination book sets a cookie in your browser that attributes your sign-up to us for affiliate-commission purposes. That cookie is set by the operator, not by us, and it's governed by the operator's privacy policy.

Email correspondence: If you email us at any of the addresses on the contact page, your email and reply chain are stored in our editorial inbox indefinitely. We don't share it with anyone outside the editorial team.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We don't collect names, addresses, phone numbers, payment data, or any personally-identifying information directly. We don't run third-party retargeting pixels (no Meta, Google, or LinkedIn ad pixels). We don't sell, lease, or share visitor data with any third party.

Your Rights

If you're a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what data we have about you, request its deletion, and opt out of data sale (note: we don't sell data, so the opt-out is automatic). If you're in the EU, the GDPR provides similar rights. Email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Request" and we'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies and Tracking

Our site sets two types of cookies in your browser: (1) an analytics session cookie that expires when you close the browser, and (2) affiliate-attribution cookies set by the sportsbooks you click through to. You can disable cookies entirely in your browser settings — the site will still work, though we'll lose visibility into anonymous traffic patterns.

Third-Party Sportsbook Privacy Policies

When you click through to a sportsbook from our site, you become a visitor of that book's site and their privacy policy applies. We can't speak to their data practices — read their privacy page directly before depositing.

Changes to This Policy

If we materially change how we collect or use data, we'll update this page with a new "Last updated" date and (for significant changes) post a notice on the homepage for 14 days. We've made one update since launch: clarifying that affiliate cookies are set by the operator, not by us.
